Monnekÿn

Far from the beaten track, Monnekÿn is a band that has decided to give fusion back its letters of nobility. The seven members grew up in the shadow of skatepark modules and the sounds of California’s Neo Metal greats. Time has taken its toll, and the band now combines the sounds of their youth with more recent universes, creating a skilful blend of Neo Metal nostalgia and Trap modernity.

The creation of their first album took place at home, in the “Sept-Sept”, under the guidance of Cédric from D.N.I Studio (Sipping, Wild Mighty Freaks, Pénitence Onirique…), but sounds as strong and powerful as the big names in the style. Big guitars, omnipresent bass, drums with an unstoppable groove and samples/scratch proudly bearing their heritage as a banner.

To listen to Monnekÿn  is to take a journey into the heart of who we are today. The vocals take you in many different directions, from Deftones and Limp Bizkit to Staind and Nirvana. One thing is certain: at the end of this journey, only one name remains engraved in our ears : Monnekÿn.

The first impact is entitled “Ape Home”, a project that shows us who they are. Signed to M&O Music and distributed by Season Of Mist, the band are considered by the press to be the revival and future of French metal, and are regarded as the new Pleymo or Enhancer.

The energy of their live performances, created as they are, is a veritable spectacle, bringing together musicians and breakers in the image of the skatepark contest of the 2000s. Join the “Simian nation”!
