Tamar Aphek is one of the leading faces of contemporary rock on the Israeli scene and has been crowned “Israel’s guitar goddess” (Timeout Tel-Aviv). She first came to prominence as singer/guitarist with the bands “Carusella” and “Shoshana”, both of whom were known for turning any venue into a crime scene with their sheer volume and relentless energy.
Aphek is also known as a pioneer of the Israeli music scene, thanks to her initiative and production of the “Besides that” festival.
Tamar is one of those artists who shatter expectations – balancing elegance and brutality, ferocious guitar sound and sweet melodies. These forces resonate in the concerts of Tamar and her band, which are infused with jazz and global musical rhythms.
