MINI SKIRT hit like a sunburn, with a dry, stinging take on modern Australian punk.
After rattling the walls of every pub, bar, basement, dungeon and DIY venue they could find on their 18 stop 2022 European tour, Australia’s favourite post punk sons are back this summer to eat, drink and yell their way across the continent via a series of headline shows, as well as supporting fellow Aussies Amyl and The Sniffers in Italy, and performing at France’s Binic Festival.
Hailing from The Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia, MINI SKIRT are all grit and no glamour. Their noisey body of work is underpinned by the lyrical and visual artistry of vocalist Jacob Boylan, painting a picture of modern Australia. Every verse and chorus is a well-crafted and concise assessment of the current social climate that will have you replaying each line to make sure you don’t miss a word.
With their second full length album (All That We Know) ready to hurl at the world, Mini Skirt continue to deliver their personal brand of jagged, raw political Aussie punk. New singles and a finely sharpened live show continue to put Mini Skirt at the forefront of the politically inspired noise-scape.
Paying homage to Australian pioneers such as X and Radio Birdman, and remaining close with Australian pub rock royalty the Cosmic Psychos, it’s no surprise that Mini Skirt’s raw and honest songs are rapidly gaining attention from fans of bands like Amyl and The Sniffers, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, COFFIN, Sleaford Mods and Viagra Boys.
Catch MINI SKIRT bringing down the roof all across Europe this August.
