“De Doden Hebben het Goed” is Wiegedood’s debut album, but it can hardly be called a debut band. The band members have already proven themselves in other bands like Amenra, Oathbreaker, Hessian, Rise and Fall… An interesting meeting of musicians that immediately raises high expectations. And they answer it. To the fullest. Against all expectations, the result of this collaboration has nothing to do with post metal, sludge or hardcore. Instead, Wiegedood offers us a relentless onslaught of fast but depressive black metal. The following ones, “De Doden Hebben het Goed II” (2017), third De Doden Hebben het Goed III” (2018), on the other hand, move more and more away from the melancholic side and towards an increasingly savage black metal. And the fourth, “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road”, released in 2022, violently drives the point home.
